Chateau Mayne Du Cros

Chateau Mayne du Cros
Bordeaux
Graves

In the heart of the GRAVES appellation (the only AOC bearing the name of the soil which characterizes it), the MAYNE du CROS estate is located in Cérons , on a pebbly plateau.
The particularity of these pebbles is to store up the sun's rays and to give off this heat at night.
This characteristic contributes to the high-quality ripening of our grapes in autumn.
The result is a Mayne de Cros Graves red with equal measures of body and finesse; the Mayne de Cros white is fruity and complex.

CHATEAU MAYNE DU CROS GRAVES WHITE
With golden tints, an expressive nose, lots of substance and power, complexity, length and perfect balance.
Can be kept for 8 to 10 years.

CHATEAU MAYNE DU CROS GRAVES RED

Chateau Cantemerle

Chateau Cantemerle
Bordeaux
Haut-Médoc

This unique soil and microclimat are reflected in the wine's personality. Cantemerle has a brilliant colour, a powerful bouquet, and a soft, lively flavour. It is rare to find such refined fruitiness. This great wine can be enjoyed young, when it is charming, fruity, and marked by a vanilla taste which comes from well-integrated oak.

Cantemerle is therefore an ideal wine for the modern consumer who likes fresh tannins. However, it can also age extremely well. Fine, old vintages have impeccable class, with incomparable flavours of sheer elegance. Cantemerle therefore belongs to that rare category of the world's wines which can not only age, but also improve over several decades.

Redgate Shiraz

Redgate Wines
Australia
Shiraz

VINEYARD
In a normal vintage year our Shiraz is picked when the grapes start to shrivel and the bottom leaves start to drop from the vines. At this stage the grapes have optimal concentration of flavour with thick chewy skins leading towards dense colour in the finished wine.

In 2002 however, the lack of heat in Summer gave rise to a late vintage with grapes having naturally high levels of acidity and lower than expected sugar levels which gave rise to a wine with lower levels of alcohol. This delicate balance of sugar and acid has resulted in a wine displaying finesse and elegance.

WINERY
Grapes are crushed directly to open stainless steel fermenters and fermentation is initiated by the addition of selected aromatic yeast strains. On average only 6 days are required for completion of the fermentation and this requires a vigorous schedule of hand plunging to maximise colour and flavour extraction.
The resultant wine is pressed and transferred to selected French and American oak barrels which are then aged for 24 months. This judicious oak treatment gives rise to a wonderful medium bodied food wine displaying the white pepper and spice characters so prevalent to this variety in Margaret River.

Chateau Haut-Sarpe

Chateau Haut-Sarpe
Bordeaux
Saint Emilion

The family of Joseph Janoueix, owners of Château Haut-Sarpe, a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé, is one of the great household names of the Libourne area; they are as well known for making wine as for being wine merchants.

Awarded a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1867, today it remains worthy of the efforts invested and the success obtained by its owner at the time, Baron Henri de Foussat. Moreover it was during this era that the Baron, encouraged by his success, undertook the renovation of the château and its gardens.

This edifice of great style, with its central pavilion inspired by the famous Trianon, has a wondrous appearance; in keeping with the spirit of the Grand Cru Classé wine, very evocative of the Saint-Emilion wine-making boom at the beginnings of the 20 th century and of the tradition and quality that the children and grand-children of Marie-Antoinette and Joseph Janoueix symbolise, today just like yesteryear.

Appellation: Saint Emilion Grand Cru
Classification: Grand Cru Classé
Proprietor: Joseph Janoueix' Family
Vineyard area: 21.5 hectares / 52 acres
Grapes: 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet franc
Barrels: 100 (10 000 cases)

Château La Dominante is situated near some of the most prestigious vineyards of Bordeaux : 5 kmn from POMEROL, 8 kmn from SAINT EMILION.

Great care is taken in the vineyards throughout the year to ensure the grapes come into the winery in optimum condition.
The whole process of making the wine, from the vinification to the bottling, is ensured by ourselves in a very strict manner and closely monitored by our oenological laboratory.

The wine has a lovely brilliant colour, a very rich and elegant bouquet with varied aromas of ripe red fruits in particular of woodland strawberries and of blackcurrants. Opulent and fleshy on the palate, the wine is very soft and finishes on fine tannins of exceptional length.

Barbaresco "Casot" & "Marcarini"

Nada Wine Company
Italy
Barbaresco

Characteristics : A burgundy red colour with ruby tones that become orange as time goes by. The bouquet is harmonious and complete with a hint of rose (the symbol of the company) and violet. The taste is complete, plain, robust, long lasting and extraordinarily aristocratic. The wine making of the grapes coming from the “Casot” cru, means a long and slow maceration of the skins, immersed in the must for a period that, with the best vintages, can reach up to three months. This process is carried out so that the vigour and body of the wine explode into the universe of perfumes and spices following the ageing and refining periods in the bottles. For the wine making of the “Marcarini” we prefer shorter periods of time in order to obtain a wine that is ready to be consumed and rapidly expresses its own characteristics. Its particular structure makes it delicate and suitable for all tastes.
Advice: Seeing as it is so strong and complete, the Barbaresco “Casot” is able to keep (and improve) its extraordinary characteristics for 10-12 years and 15-20 for the best vintages. It is advisable to pour the Barbaresco “Casot” into an appropriate decanter at least 1-2 hours before drinking. The Barbaresco “Marcarini” is best consumed within 8-10 years in order to enjoy its freshness and harmony.

Chateau de Gaudou

Chateau de Gaudou
France
Cahors

La cuvée Tradition

A wine for all seasons, this range has always been made at Château de Gaudou. But we grant that through generations of experience, this wine has been able to achieve its full potential while not forgetting the lessons of history. It has now become fully-fledged in total respect of traditional know-how. It is the pride of the Durou family because it is distinctive and delights the most demanding of palates.

Leaves are removed from the vines and grass cultivated between the rows before green harvesting.
Although harvesting is conducted by machine, to ensure high quality we use a grape sorting table to rigorously sort the fruit.
Not simply content with that, our product is grown on a choice terroir, whose gravels and exposure to the sun are its greatest assets..

Tasting notes :
Majestic ruby robe, dark and intense with black glints. The first nose has hints of blackberry and blackcurrant. When swirled, it reveals an exceptional complexity with notes of Morello cherry and wild strawberry outstanding.
The attack is very supple, developing fine, mellowed tannins in harmony with a pleasing body, generously ushering forth blackberry, blackcurrant, strawberry and raspberry aromas to tickle the palate. The tastes linger in the mouth.
To bring out its full complexity, it is preferable to decant the wine before tasting. This wine can be enjoyed when young thanks to its blackcurrants, liquorice and raspberry, but can also be kept for several years (8 years).

Facts and figures
The vines of this vintage are a youthful 20 years old. It is made up of a harmonious blend of grape varieties: Auxerrois, to the tune of 80%, predominates, alongside Tannat and Merlot. Yield per hectare is around 5,800 litres. Harvesting by machine is followed by sorting by hand.
