La cuvée Tradition

A wine for all seasons, this range has always been made at Château de Gaudou. But we grant that through generations of experience, this wine has been able to achieve its full potential while not forgetting the lessons of history. It has now become fully-fledged in total respect of traditional know-how. It is the pride of the Durou family because it is distinctive and delights the most demanding of palates.

Leaves are removed from the vines and grass cultivated between the rows before green harvesting.
Although harvesting is conducted by machine, to ensure high quality we use a grape sorting table to rigorously sort the fruit.
Not simply content with that, our product is grown on a choice terroir, whose gravels and exposure to the sun are its greatest assets..

Tasting notes :
Majestic ruby robe, dark and intense with black glints. The first nose has hints of blackberry and blackcurrant. When swirled, it reveals an exceptional complexity with notes of Morello cherry and wild strawberry outstanding.
The attack is very supple, developing fine, mellowed tannins in harmony with a pleasing body, generously ushering forth blackberry, blackcurrant, strawberry and raspberry aromas to tickle the palate. The tastes linger in the mouth.
To bring out its full complexity, it is preferable to decant the wine before tasting. This wine can be enjoyed when young thanks to its blackcurrants, liquorice and raspberry, but can also be kept for several years (8 years).
