Domaine de labarthe

Domaine de Labarthe
Sud Ouest
Gaillac

The Domaine de Labarthe is situated on the Castanet parish in the Gaillac region, on the hillside of the right banks of the Tarn river. It is 10 kms away from the medieval city of Cordes (XIIIth Century), 15 kms away from Albi, Toulouse-Lautrec hometown and 15 kms away from Carmaux (Cap'Découverte).

The vineyard, 48ha (30 ha of red wines and 18 ha of white wines) is bordering the office of the estate on rocky hillsides facing south.

The ground is turffed to avoid gullying and the use of residual weedkiller.
The vines are about thirty years old. They produce fruity white wines and powerful tannic red wines which age remarkably well.
Optimum quality wines are elaborated through a modern cellar equipment while preserving the traditions of wine making..
