Les Granges - Bernard Baudry Vins de Chinon

LES GRANGES
FRANCE
CHINON

Soils : Sand and Gravel soils on the alluvia terraces of the Vienne river.
Vines : Six hectares planted between 1985 and 1988.
Yields : between 40 and 50 hl/ha after debudding.
Wine-making : The grapes are picked by hand towards the end of the harvest so as to get maximum maturity. Fermentations are at cool temperatures in stainless steel vats. We do not look for great extraction in this soft and fruity wine.
Bottling is on the estate in the spring.
Character : " Les Granges " is a supple and velvety wine that can be enjoyed in its youth. It is a fresh, juicy Chinon that is fine match for pork and for richer fish dishes.
Availability : Millésime 2004.
