Chateau les Ormes de Pez

Chateau les Ormes de Pez
Bordeaux
Saint-Estephe

A beautiful old 18th-century building (formally the stables and cowshed) was renovated in 1993. It is now used to age the wine in barrels, and adds a beautiful touch to the courtyard adjacent to the main house.

The technical installations were entirely renovated starting about fifteen years ago. Since then, fermentation has been carried out in 18 temperature-controlled, stainless-steel vats all equipped with a temperature control system. The final blending is made about two months after the harvest.

The whole winemaking process is very traditional. After fermentation, once vats have been selected for blending, the wine is aged in oak barrels for 15 months During that period, the wine is racked 3-4 times. The aim of this process is to separate the wine from its lees. This is carried out from barrel to barrel, and the clarity is checked by stopping the flow, filling a glass of wine and holding it up to a candle. Once it starts to look cloudy, the racking stops.

The wines of Château Les Ormes de Pez are powerful and well-balanced. They are typical of the appellation : rich, round and quite tannic.

Domaine de labarthe

Domaine de Labarthe
Sud Ouest
Gaillac

The Domaine de Labarthe is situated on the Castanet parish in the Gaillac region, on the hillside of the right banks of the Tarn river. It is 10 kms away from the medieval city of Cordes (XIIIth Century), 15 kms away from Albi, Toulouse-Lautrec hometown and 15 kms away from Carmaux (Cap'Découverte).

The vineyard, 48ha (30 ha of red wines and 18 ha of white wines) is bordering the office of the estate on rocky hillsides facing south.

The ground is turffed to avoid gullying and the use of residual weedkiller.
The vines are about thirty years old. They produce fruity white wines and powerful tannic red wines which age remarkably well.
Optimum quality wines are elaborated through a modern cellar equipment while preserving the traditions of wine making..

Chateau Pontet-Canet

Pauillac

In this south-western corner of France, "terroir" is everything; this is a french word, untranslatable, which means soil and micro-climate. Of almost equal importance is the vine, but the variety and clone is always chosen to suit the "terroir". For four generations, the Tesseron family have used their knowledge and skills to obtain the maximum from these two vital factors. Respect for tradition are combined with modern technology and the all-important spirit and sensitivity of man.
Rares sont les produits qui font appel, ainsi, à autant de belles références : la noblesse, la tradition, la science, et un je ne sais quoi... qui peut être de l'art...
There is a little of all these elements in every glass of Château PONTET CANET.

Chateau de Cassaigne

Armagnac is France’oldest eau-de-vie.
As early as the XVth century, documents attest teh dispatching of this noble product in Gascony, particulary in the Landes ara.

It is since that period, that a certain care was brought to the growth of the grape vines, carfully selected to create an ideal vineyard.
The Château de Cassaigne’vineyard is located in the " Tenareze " area, one of the three sub-areas that are part of Armagnac area.

This 60 hectares vineyard is mainly planted wigh " ugni blanc " " colombard " and " folle blanche ". The Château also had red grape varieties (" carnet, merlot ") for the elaboration of the well known " Floc de Gascogne " and red wines.
